E3 is almost here, and the rumors are flying. Things are being blown up and shot down left and right. announcement are being made and we are all wondering whats going to be shown once the day is finally upon us.
Speaking of wondering whats going on Valve recently announced they are pulling their showing of Portal 2 which they announced several few months back. Then after pulling Portal 2 Valve stated that they would be having a "surprise" in its place. OH MY GOD could it be Half Life: Episode 3? yup thats what the internet thought, and within only a day or so the below image surfaced adding fule to the rumor fire.
Now, knowing Valve, and how much Half Life: Episode 3 means to the gaming community I had a strong feeling that this was a rumor. There is no way Valve was going to be this straight forward for their teaser of one the most coveted game in the history of the Art form (yup i called it art Valve pretty much proves it) For a game like this I would imagine a long lines of websites with random codes and riddles that need to be decipherer and solved. However a part of me was giddy with excitment. "could it be? will we get to see what happens to Freeman, will i figure out who the G man is? is that an erection i have?" and with that one image I really begain to look forward to E3.
Then earlier today the fat boss man himself, Gabe Newell, (not pictured below...or is he) responded by saying the the image was a fake, and that the Surpise at E3 is not Half Life: Episode 3. Oh Nos! I owe myself fifty dollars.
Now i am disappointed however i am even more intreged then I was before. so many question and Valve just added a new one to the list. What is this surprise, what else are we going to see, should i take off work, is my girlfriend going to break up with me after she sees me geek out on my couch for 3 days. I Guess we are going to have to wait and see. God i hate E3. What do you think Valves announcement is and what are some things your looking forward to for E3?
